NUMBERS, MICROSOFT WORD, and 9-11-01
This has been around for a long time, but I thought I would document it here. If you open a Microsoft word document and type in the following, without the quote marks, "Q33 NY"
Then highlight it using the mouse, and change the font to "Windings"
The 5 letters change into a Airliner, 2 buildings, and a Deaths' head and a Star of David. This glitch in Microsoft Word was already there years previous to 9-11.
Creepy.......

5/11/08 Massive carnage just north of here from Tornadoes, over 20 dead. Still more work to do on early warnings.....
2/24/08 The Clean-Up was a rousing success! I think probably MORE than 1,000 attended. It started at 7AM at and continued until after dark at the Church. There were easily as many women and children working as there were grown men. Friendly Police protection was everywhere. Although most of us were from Prattville and Millbrook, I met and worked with people from Calera, Birmingham and Mobile. I ended up working with a group on the odd numbered side of the 1800 block of Tara Drive. We ended up finishing the entire block. At first, there was 8-15 foot high debris surrounding all the properties. Using hand labor, hand tools, wheelbarrows and human chains, we cleaned up one address at a time. Massive walls of debris at the curbside soon resembled a unbroken wall. The worst damaged house we worked was 1819. Only 3 tiny interior walls remained, yet the owner survived in the bathroom in the center of these three walls.
It is important for me to mention several points of praise at this point. At no time were any cursing or tempers overheard. There were several slips and falls and the odd cut here and there. The injured were quickly treated where needed, and then went right back to work. Most of the local eating establishments showered us with food and water, as did the church. It was delivered by the Red Cross directly curbside throughout the day. Deliberate care was shown to items we came upon that seemed to be important to the owners. These items were set aside and protected.
All of us were sore beyond words, young and old alike. Yet we felt a sense of pride much larger than the hurt. We cared about the loss of our friends and neighbors and we did something about it. When we were finished we all were stunned by how different the properties looked than when we started. At about 30 minutes before dark, we finished up at the last house, and went to the church. The men and women working at the church were working even harder now, tasked with feeding the tired, sore and cold. They did their jobs with smiles and dedication until late in the evening. I grew as a person and a citizen today, but then again we all did.....
I AM SORE BEYOND DESCRIPTION.....
2/23/08 Today is the first Saturday after the Tornado. About 1,000 volunteers are expected at ground zero of the damage zone to do a mass cleanup and excavation today. Hope to see you there.....
2/17/08 Tornado touchdown here in Millbrook and Prattville Alabama. Devestation on an epic scale in Prattville; sporatic damage in Millbrook as the tornado was skipping as it left Prattville.
2/16/08 Check out the newest demo from Will Wright about his newest game, "SPORE". I advise skipping the first part, he bored me tears. If you move your mouse pointer slightly above the progress slider, a panel appears that lets you skip to the beginning of the demonstration.
But once he gets going on the game, its better than all the other demos of spore than I have seen yet.
